Staff were friendly and attentative. Rooms were comfortable and recently renovated.

No info in the room about the hotel, the facilities or the city.

The rooms were spacious, clean and modern. Staff were friendly and helpful and location was great.

The breakfast was a little dissapointing, every thing that was served was good but it felt like it was not so fresh. The bacon was chewy and eggs were always hard even though they were requested soft.

The staff were extremely helpful throughtout our stay, especially with information regarding the Ash from the volcanic eruption in iceland. We were stranded in Dublin a few extra hours and they updated us on the news. The room was good other than a few minor things that were missing. location was perfect for close access to the city.

It would have been more helpful to have a bin in the bedroom and a mirror, oh and also there was no remote control for the t.v.. We could have done with 2 more cups for tea and coffee in the room, as there were 3 of us staying in the room. . The shower did over flow just a little because it was designed for someone in a wheelchair.

Amberley House is in an ok location near to the centre, rooms were clean but basic. Breakfast was a full Irish and set us up for the day. If your going to go ask for a room in the new bit, they were fab, and i would definatly reccommend staying in that part.

Amberley House is really central and close proximity to Croke Park which was ideal, location is perfect if that is all you are looking for.

Apart from the location there was nothing positive about the hotel. I booked 2 rooms and because the hotel is split into the old and new sections, I had a room in each. The old was very drab compared to the new and certainly not worth the money. Both sections do not have a lift albeit from a disbled lift that goes 1/2 a flight of stairs at the very bottom of the hotel. So if you are further than the 1st floor it is no good for kids, elderly or anyone who isn't able for the mass of stairs. I am a relatively fit young person but this was just ridiculous. When you get to the rooms the single beds are so small (much smaller than std single) that I lay awake most of night worrying about falling out either side. They were also rock hard which lead to a very uncomfortable 2 nights. We had a party of 5 and we all agreed that we would rather have paid a few pounds extra as it really put a strain on our weekend away.

Amberley House is in a prime location, close to Gradton St, Temple Bar and all the shops! Only a short bus ride from the airport too. The staff were lovely and amenable. The room was clean and smart too,

Althought there was a hairdryer in the room - which worked well but there was no mirror to see yourself!! There was also no plug socket in the hallway and therefore you could not even use the bathroom mirror!!

Was close to the City Centre and also to Croke Park (concert venue).

The accommodation, whilst clean, was showing signs and wear and tear and could do with a smarten up. Was OK to stay in for a concert event but would not stay in it for a weekend away. Noticed on their website a significant price difference in a normal overnight stay versus our overnight stay for a concert night.

The location was perfect and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room we had was spacious and clean and the bathroom was lovely. Breakfast each morning was served between 8 -10 with Irish breakfast, cereals and continental options to choose from. The airport bus link stops opposite the guesthouse. All in all, a great place to stay and value for money. I would definitely stay here again!

WIFI doesn't reach all the rooms. Insignificant really when you look at all the positives!

it was near the city centre

When we booked we specifically paid for the apartment On arrival we were told the apartment was no longer available due to damage Another family staying were in the same siuation The apartment was available and had 8 girls in it instead of our party of 4 We should have been informed before arrival and given a choice it did not suit my party to all be sleeping in the same room Repairs were either not done or partly completed

The location was excellent for both the city centre and the concert we were attending at Croke Park.

The room was small, noisy and need of updating. The bed was uncomfortable and the mattress needed replacing. For the proce (129 Euros) for 1 night, this certainly not value for money!

This is a b+b not a hotel. The room had burn marks on the carpet and the bed was over 20 years old. The rooms are very dated and not at all like the photos placed in the ad. The photos are of a new extention at the rear of the hotel.

Amberley House was very easy to locate, very close to O' Connel street. The location was fantastic, the room had every thing needed, TV, tea and coffee and a great shower. The breakfast was excellent, would definitely book again.

The hotel staff was very kind and helpful. Location of the hotel was OK, near train-bus-metro station.

    The breakfast was brill

Quite a distance from temple bar, had to get taxis by the second day

  • Couple
    8.0

Hotel was Central to the city. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was included considering the price of the room and the fact breakfast was included I thought it was a great price. Room was a bit small but it had a bed and and bathroom, how much time do you really spend in your room on a vacation?

Shower needed to run for a couple minutes in order to become hot, but a cold shower washes away a Guinness hangover faster anyway.
